Hi, I’m Kimberly Kelley.
Owner, founder, and candle maker behind SnoCo Candles, a female-owned organic candle company rooted in Snohomish County, Washington.
Rooted in the Pacific Northwest.
SnoCo Candles was born from my love of the quiet ritual of lighting a candle and the way scent can transform not only a room, but the way we feel within it.
What began as a passion became a hands-on journey into the art and science of candle making. I took classes throughout the Seattle area, sought guidance from experienced local makers, and spent countless hours learning, testing, and refining my craft. The advice that stayed with me was beautifully simple: just keep going.
So I did.
I kept learning, asking questions, experimenting, and thoughtfully refining every detail, from the wax and wick to the vessel and fragrance. That commitment has grown into SnoCo Candles: a collection of intentionally made, clean-burning, non-toxic candles inspired by the place I call home.

The Pacific Northwest is more than our location—it is the heart of every SnoCo Candle.
Our fragrances are grounded in wood-based notes and inspired by the natural character of the PNW: rain-darkened forests, weathered cedar, evergreen trails, misty shorelines, changing leaves, mountain air, and the warmth of home during our long, quiet winters.
Each seasonal collection captures a different expression of this landscape while remaining connected to the earthy, comforting foundation that defines SnoCo Candles. Whether fresh and coastal, warm and woodsy, botanical, or softly nostalgic, every scent is chosen to bring a small piece of the Pacific Northwest into your space.

Quality begins with what goes into each candle—and continues with what remains after the final burn.
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using a premium coconut-and-soy wax blend selected for its smooth, high-quality burn. We thoughtfully choose non-toxic materials and carefully curated fragrances to create candles that burn cleanly, evenly, and beautifully without compromising the atmosphere of your home.
Sustainability is woven into our process. Our timeless vessels are intentionally designed to be reused, repurposed, or refilled rather than discarded. Once your candle is finished, its container can begin a new life, as a planter, storage vessel, keepsake holder, or something entirely your own.
Because a beautiful candle should offer more than fragrance. It should bring warmth, create connection, honor its surroundings, and leave behind something worth keeping.
SnoCo Candles is my way of sharing the grounding beauty of the Pacific Northwest, one season, one scent, and one carefully poured candle at a time.
Poured by Hand, Given with Heart
Every SnoCo Candle is hand-poured in small batches in my home studio in Snohomish County. There is no distant production line or anonymous manufacturing process, each candle passes through my hands and is made with intention, love, and purpose.
To me, candle making has never been simply about creating a product. With every candle I pour, I feel as though I am giving a small piece of myself to someone else: a little warmth, light, comfort, and care that can become part of their home and their story.
That sense of connection is at the heart of SnoCo Candles.
Each year, I intentionally donate candles to multiple organizations, create beautiful gift baskets for charitable auctions, and send care packages to friends, colleagues, and people who may need something to lift their spirits. Sometimes a candle celebrates a joyful beginning. Other times, it quietly accompanies someone through illness, grief, uncertainty, personal struggle, or the simple chaos of everyday life.
That is my purpose: to create something beautiful that meets people wherever they are.
A candle cannot take away life’s difficult moments, but it can soften the space around them. It can invite someone to pause, breathe, and feel cared for. Its flame can bring warmth to an uncertain evening, while its fragrance can make a room and perhaps the person within it feel a little lighter.
Every SnoCo Candle is poured with the hope that when you light it, you receive more than a beautiful Pacific Northwest fragrance. I hope you feel the intention behind it and are reminded that even in moments of struggle, there is still warmth, beauty, and light to be found.

What's Inside Every Candle
- 100% Organic Coconut & Soy Wax — We use only plant-based, organic wax. No paraffin, no petroleum byproducts, no synthetic fillers. Our wax burns cleaner and longer than conventional store-bought candles.
- 100% Braided Cotton Wicks — Pure cotton, nothing else. No lead, no zinc, no synthetic fibers. Just a clean, even burn every time.
- Thoughtfully Sourced Fragrances — We hand-select our fragrance oils with care, prioritizing natural and phthalate-free options that are safe for you and your home.
- No Artificial Ingredients — What you smell is what you get. We don't cut corners and choose scents with gentle precision.
How We Make Them
- Handcrafted in Small Batches — Every candle is made by hand in our home studio in Washington. Small-batch production means less waste, more attention to detail, and a product that's never mass-produced.
- Made Locally in Washington — Keeping production local reduces our carbon footprint and supports the Pacific Northwest community we love.
- Not Factory-Made — When we say handcrafted, we mean it. These candles are made by me — not outsourced to a production facility.
